Srushti Deshmukh has started working on her UPSC entrance in her third year of engineering degree. While she was graduating in engineering, she was unsure if it was the best choice for her. Her dream became clearer after she began focusing on the civil job. Her parents urged her to concentrate on civils, and find a job serving the people. She was driven to be an IAS officer and was committed on that goal. For UPSC to be achieved, more hard work is required. She was preparing for UPSC topics while studying her engineering. Everyday, she set aside time to work on her preparation for the test. Within just one and a quarter months, she passed her engineering exams, and avoided all social interactions. She is convinced that focus is the most important factor to succeed in the exam of government and becoming an officer in the civil service. She worked hard to make sure she passed the test in her first attempt. Daily, she would read the papers to stay on top of the latest news. Rajya Sabha TV, online sources and various study tools proved to be a great help for her.
